“Can I sleep in your bed mummy?”, “I don’t want to go to sleep yet”, “I’m scared” – we’ve all been there; the moment putting your child to bed seems like a real life nightmare. Night after night becomes a battle because your child does not want to be left in their bedroom alone. However, what a lot of parents don’t realise is that a change of interior design can actually make a massive difference.
If you make their bedroom somewhere that is fun, exciting and familiar, then you will make it more comfortable and more appealing. Your child won’t be so afraid of spending the night there. This is the reason why a lot of parents incorporate their child’s favourite cartoon character into their bedroom design.
To get you started on your quest for a more peaceful night we’ve picked our top five favourite children’s beds. These should give you some brilliant ideas and inspiration for making your child’s bedroom more fun and appealing.
1. Go Racing.
Most boys have a need for speed. If you turn their bed into their dream race car then you immediately transform their room into a place full of fun, energy and excitement. Bedtime will become an opportunity to zoom into dreams of winning a Grand Prix and racing alongside the likes of Lewis Hamilton. You can guarantee they’ll be racing to their room every night rather than running away from it.
This bed is fit for any little angel. Your daughter will feel like she has walked right out of a Disney film. Whether your little one wants to be Cinderella or Snow White, there’s no denying the fact that they will love bedtime with this princess carriage.
There is so much going on in this picture that you barely even notice that there is a bed tucked away there in the middle – let alone the one at the side and the top of the house! Does it really get much better than having your very own playhouse and slide in your bedroom? Children love to role play. That’s why kids’ kitchens, doll houses and alike have been so popular for years now and will continue to be so. By opting for a playhouse bed you allow your child to enter a world of imagination; one that is fun, safe and comforting.
Bunk beds are a great choice for several reasons. If you have children of a similar age then sharing a room whilst growing up is a recommended idea because they will provide comfort for one and other. Not only this, but even if you have an only child bunk beds can be beneficial for when friends come to stop over. But it is not the mere fact that they are practical that makes them such a good option. They look fun and exciting. And if your child is feeling scared they can sleep on the top bunk so that the monsters can’t reach them!
If your child dreams of being the next John Cena and can see himself taking on the likes of the Big Show, then this is undoubtedly the bed for him! Furthermore, a quick pretend fight before bedtime is a surefire way of ensuring your child gets tired out and falls asleep immediately.
